St. Pat’s Penny Bank has been in existence since the mid-1950s, set up at a time of great austerity and proving a godsend to ‘ordinary’ people. The organisers say a big thanks to all who used the facility in the past and previous years, and look forward to many new customers when its new savings season resumes this week.
